Founded in December 2003, the Product Analysis Laboratory (PAL) was established under the support of the HKSAR government and the manufacturing industry to provide comprehensive product analysis services for product manufacturers. As an integral part of Hong Kong Science and Technology Parks' (Science Parks) Business Development and Technology Support unit, the PAL completes the overall strategy of the Science Parks in offering one-stop technology development support in Hong Kong, Asia and the world.
Operated under ISO9001 and ISO17025 quality management system, the PAL is one of the top product analysis labs in the world. It is equipped with a wide array of world-class analysing facilities, covering electrical, electronic, chemical and virtually any materials for industrial and commercial uses. Managed by a pool of veteran engineers with professional qualifications and profound industrial experience, PAL offers turnkey analysis services ranging from debugging, evaluation to qualification.
The PAL analysis services cover four areas, namely semiconductor, photonics, nanotechnology, and Chinese Medicine*. Dedicated to offering objective, non-partisan product analysis reports, the lab has successfully completed a series of product analysis projects for multinational clients, and has won strong global recognition.
In addition, it has established close partnerships with the local universities and industries, as well as extensive collaboration with top-notch applied research labs globally. Supported by the "7+1" Program between Science Parks and the Ministry of Science and Technology, PRC, the PAL will play a key role in promoting industrial collaboration across the border.
Leveraging Science Parks' state-of-the-art facilities, and Hong Kong's science talent pool, its sound business and legal framework, as well as its proximity to the China market, the PAL is well positioned to stay at the forefront of the product analysis space and become a leading, authoritative laboratory in the global arena.
*The PAL has recently been approved for undertaking Chinese Medicine product analysis service. It will become a major base in promoting Chinese Medicine to the global market.
